Of the 64,650 people living in East Orange in 2020, 53.8 percent (34,761) were women and 46.2 percent (29,889) were men, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained by the West Essex News.

Females 18 and over outnumbered males in the same age group by 1,893. In the 65 and over age range, there were 5,691 females and 3,193 males.
