The Township of Livingston announced on March 30 that scheduled water main repairs will take place on East Cedar Street on March 31, with possible water interruptions or discolored water expected from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Residents in the area are advised that East Cedar Street will be closed between North Baums Court and Shrewsbury Drive during the repair work. The township recommends planning an alternative route to avoid delays.

During the repairs, residents may experience air or discoloration in their tap water. Officials advise running the cold water faucet at the sink closest to the water meter until the water runs clear if this occurs.

“We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause & thank you for your understanding,” township officials said in a statement.

The planned maintenance is part of ongoing efforts to ensure reliable service and infrastructure improvements for local residents.
