Governor Mikie Sherrill, who currently serves in the U.S. Congress representing New Jersey’s 11th district since 2019, shared a series of posts on April 14, 2026, highlighting key cultural and historical observances.
In her first post at 12:47 p.m., Sherrill wrote, “.@LtGovCaldwellNJ and I were honored to host our first Passover Seder at Drumthwacket. Passover is a celebration of freedom, faith, and resilience – a reminder that there’s meaning and opportunity even in the hardest moments.”
Later that day at 2:14 p.m., she extended greetings to the Sikh community with the message, “Happy Vaisakhi to the Sikh community of New Jersey! Today is a day of peace, renewal, and coming together with loved ones.”
At 3:00 p.m., Sherrill addressed Yom HaShoah by stating, “On Yom HaShoah, we remember the six million Jewish people murdered in the Holocaust. Amidst a rise in antisemitism, we recommit to standing up against hate and bigotry in all its forms. Never Forget.”
Mikie Sherrill has served as U.S. Representative for New Jersey’s 11th District since replacing Rodney Frelinghuysen in 2019. She was born in Alexandria, Virginia in 1972 and currently resides in Montclair.
