Governor Mikie Sherrill has recently shared updates on her official social media account regarding her ongoing efforts to improve public services and community engagement in New Jersey.
On March 26, 2026, Sherrill stated, “I’m getting right to work improving NJ TRANSIT – because New Jerseyans deserve clean, efficient, safe, and reliable service.”
The following day, she highlighted her participation at a significant community event: “Such a privilege to join faith and community leaders at the 154th New Jersey Annual Conference of the AME Church at Saint Matthew’s in Orange. For generations, the AME Church has strengthened communities and expanded opportunity across our state. We’re building a more” (March 27, 2026).
Later that same day, Sherrill attended an official ceremony for a key state appointment. She wrote, “Today, I was honored to join the swearing-in of Jennifer Davenport as New Jersey’s Attorney General. I’m proud to have a fighter like Jen on our team as we build a safer, more affordable state where government delivers for the people it’s meant to serve.” (March 27, 2026).
Mikie Sherrill is currently serving in the U.S. Congress representing New Jersey’s 11th district since 2019 after succeeding Rodney Frelinghuysen. Born in Alexandria, Virginia in 1972 and now residing in Montclair at age 51, Sherrill continues to be active both legislatively and within local communities.
