Rep. Mikie Sherrill, a U.S. Congresswoman representing New Jersey’s 11th district since 2019, has recently addressed several policy issues and upcoming events through her social media posts.
On September 19, 2025, Sherrill posted a statement regarding a recent House vote: “My statement on the House vote on the Charlie Kirk resolution. https://t.co/bU0GAG6WD2”.
Later that day, she announced an event as part of her ongoing webinar series: “Mark your calendar for the third session of my Fall 2025 Webinar Series, discussing Medicare Enrollment, with panelists from the Social Security Administration and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. Please register for this event at the link below: https://t.co/tIJ8r9gcS1” (September 19, 2025).
On September 20, 2025, Sherrill commented on proposed changes to H-1B visa fees: “H-1B visas fuel American innovation and growth. Trump’s proposed $100K fee would slam employers, workers, and families — and weaken America’s global competitiveness. We need to clear the visa backlog and open more pathways for legal immigration — not just sell visas to Trump’s”.
Mikie Sherrill was born in Alexandria, Virginia in 1972 and currently resides in Montclair at age 51. She succeeded Rodney Frelinghuysen as representative of New Jersey’s 11th District in Congress beginning in 2019.
