They should NEVER have to risk their lives giving birth. That’s why I introduced an amendment to restore full reproductive freedom for every member of the armed forces no matter where they are”.
By the afternoon at 4:54 p.m. UTC, Sherrill turned attention to maternal mortality rates in the United States, emphasizing racial disparities and preventable deaths among pregnant women: “Our country is facing a maternal mortality crisis, and it hits women of color especially hard. The CDC has found that 4 out of 5 pregnancy-related deaths are preventable and hypertensive disorders are a common pregnancy complication. That’s why I introduced an amendment to”.
