On February 20, 2025, Rep. Sherrill joined Mayor Bowser and other officials for an update on a train derailment in Union. She expressed gratitude towards first responders working under challenging conditions. “Yesterday, I joined Mayor Bowser, local elected officials, and first responders in Union for an update on progress clearing this week’s train derailment.”
In another post dated February 21, 2025, she commented on the distressing news regarding Shiri Bibas not being returned alongside her young sons after over 500 days of captivity by Hamas. She called for their release. “The news that Shiri Bibas was not returned alongside her young sons is devastating.”
Later that day, Rep. Sherrill thanked mayors and local officials who attended the annual Mayors Breakfast at the Montville Diner.
