U.S. Representative Mikie Sherrill, who has served New Jersey’s 11th district since 2019, posted a series of messages on her official social media account in early November 2025, recognizing student achievement, commemorating historical events, and honoring military veterans.
On November 10, 2025, Sherrill congratulated a local student for success in a national competition: “Congratulations to Paul from Morris County School of Technology for winning the NJ-11 Congressional App Challenge! Selected as the winner by a panel of judges, Paul’s app, SoniSight, is an AI-powered web application designed to make ultrasound analysis clearer, more transparent,” she wrote.
The following day marked the anniversary of Kristallnacht. On November 11, 2025, Sherrill stated: “Today, we recognize the 87th anniversary of Kristallnacht, the “night of broken glass,” where Nazis brutally attacked Jewish homes, businesses, and synagogues across Europe. As we remember these horrific acts, we recommit to fighting antisemitism and supporting the Jewish”.
Later that day on Veterans Day in the United States—an annual observance honoring military service members—Sherrill shared her appreciation for veterans and their families: “Today and every day, I’m grateful for those who have served — and for the families who’ve stood beside them. To my fellow veterans, thank you for answering the call.”
Mikie Sherrill was born in Alexandria, Virginia in 1972 and resides in Montclair. She replaced Rodney Frelinghuysen as representative of New Jersey’s 11th district beginning with her first term in Congress in 2019.
