On Saturday, Feb. 22, former Bloomfield High School standout Nico Ong’s current college team, the UMBC Retrievers, lost 12-2 in their NCAA Division I baseball game against the Notre Dame Fighting Irish.

The game took place at Melching Field at Conrad Park. This was their first matchup against the Fighting Irish this season.

The Retrievers’ next game is scheduled for Sunday, Feb. 23 at 9 a.m. at Melching Field at Conrad Park against Iowa Hawkeyes.
