Rep. Mikie Sherrill, U.S. Congresswoman representing New Jersey’s 11th district since 2019, has recently posted a series of statements on her official social media account addressing national transparency issues, economic concerns for New Jersey residents, and support for local military personnel.

On September 4, 2025, Sherrill called for greater transparency regarding the investigation into Jeffrey Epstein. She stated: “It’s time to release the full Epstein Files — and I’ve signed the bipartisan discharge petition to force a vote in the House to require Donald Trump and his administration to do just that. The survivors of Epstein’s crimes deserve justice, and the American people demand”.

The following day, on September 5, 2025, Sherrill criticized former President Donald Trump’s approach to tariffs and its impact on her constituents. She wrote: “President Trump is openly pushing the Supreme Court to give him unchecked power to impose tariffs that cripple New Jersey small business whenever he feels like it. Trump’s tariffs are costing New Jerseyans their jobs and driving up costs on everything from cars to groceries”.

On September 6, 2025, Sherrill marked an anniversary for Picatinny Arsenal in New Jersey by expressing appreciation for those who work there: “Happy birthday to @Picatinny_NJ! It is an honor to work with everyone at the Arsenal, both those in uniform and the civilian team members. I am always so impressed by the incredible work they do to make sure our servicemembers and allies are the best equipped in the world. And I”.

Mikie Sherrill was born in Alexandria, Virginia in 1972 and currently resides in Montclair at age 51. She succeeded Rodney Frelinghuysen as representative of New Jersey’s 11th district after his retirement in 2019.
