Rep. Mikie Sherrill, who has been serving in the U.S. Congress representing New Jersey’s 11th district since 2019, shared her thoughts and activities on social media over the past week. The tweets covered a range of topics from legislative priorities to community engagement.

On November 25, Rep. Sherrill addressed concerns regarding the impact of social media on children, stating that "Unchecked social media is causing extensive harm to our kids." She expressed personal challenges as a parent in managing online content for her children and urged Speaker Johnson to bring the Kids Online Safety Act to a vote following its bipartisan passage in the Senate.

Two days later, on November 27, she expressed gratitude towards participants of a Thanksgiving initiative for veterans: "Thank you to everyone who participated in this year’s Thanksgiving Thank Yous for veterans program!" She highlighted that thousands of cards were collected to honor veterans and service members across New Jersey.

Later that same day, Rep. Sherrill reflected on an event aimed at educating about life at service academies: "Thanks to everyone who came out for our Meet a Cadet and Midshipman forum." She shared her own experience at the U.S. Naval Academy and mentioned her role in nominating future leaders annually.
