Later that day, she addressed gun violence prevention by emphasizing secure firearm storage as a critical measure. She announced the reintroduction of legislation aimed at enhancing public safety: "We know that one of the most effective ways to prevent gun violence is through secure storage — keeping firearms locked, separate from ammunition, and out of the hands of untrained users. Today, I’m reintroducing the Secure Storage Information Act to help protect our communities…"
