On December 7, 2024, Rep. Sherrill commemorated the anniversary of Pearl Harbor by stating: "Today we remember the lives lost at Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941 — and we honor the sacrifices of the thousands of Americans who answered the call to serve in the days, months, and years after." She emphasized the importance of continuing to honor "the heroism of the Greatest Generation."
On December 9, 2024, she expressed gratitude towards volunteers assisting with interviews for NJ-11 students aspiring to attend national service academies.
