On March 4, 2025, Rep. Mikie Sherrill highlighted the efforts of the Vision Loss Alliance of NJ by participating in a ribbon-cutting ceremony at Morris Plains. She expressed concern over situations where women face life-threatening conditions due to delayed medical care. "No woman should have to wait until her condition is life-threatening to get an abortion — and when they do, we’ve seen dire consequences."
